About the Project

Inspiration

Inspired by the rising integration of technology and its mental health risks, we aimed to address cyberpsychosis, a condition from excessive neural interfacing.

What We Learned

  • Neural Interfaces: Their function and impact on the brain.
  • Mental Health: Importance in tech contexts.
  • AI and Data Analysis: Brainwave pattern analysis and real-time feedback.
  • App Development: Creating a user-friendly interface with MIT App Inventor.
  • 3D Modeling: Designing the NeuroGuard device.

How We Built Our Project

  1. Research: Studied cyberpsychosis, neural interfaces, and existing solutions.
  2. Design and Development:
    • Website: Documented Navi Mumbai and the solution.
    • Design: Created a logo, style guide, and promotional materials.
    • App Interface: Developed with MIT App Inventor.
  3. Implementation:
    • NeuroGuard Device: Real-time monitoring, adaptive feedback, therapeutic interventions, and data analytics.
    • 3D Modeling: Visualized the device.

Challenges Faced

  • Neural Interface Complexity: Technical challenges in understanding and implementation.
  • Data Analysis: Developing accurate AI algorithms.
  • Mental Health Safety: Ensuring effective and safe interventions.
  • Technical Integration: Seamless compatibility with existing implants.
  • User Experience: Designing a functional and intuitive app interface.

Despite the challenges, we developed NeuroGuard, enhancing our technical skills and understanding of technology's impact on mental health.
