Inspiration
- Actual problems that we've faced
- as-a-Servification
- Lending > owning
- Reasonable consumerism
- Holistic solutions
- Leveraging modern technologies
What it does
We provide all the devices users might need at home for a monthly price that includes device, maintenance, repairs, user support, and backup. Users choose the devices they want and pay for usage. There are no long-term contract obligations, so the user can modify the subscription as needed. We save time and effort for the user, and remove the need for ownership of devices, which enables our customers to live a more carefree life.
How we built it
Research:
- Media research
- Trend observation
- Interviews
- Data from previous business ventures
Our design process was rather free-flowing and included:
- Brainwriting
- Future scenarios
- Mindmaps
- Idea clusters
- Stakeholder maps
- Concept drawings
- Business model canvas
- Mentor feedback loop
Challenges we ran into
We first started visioning a much larger platform that would have involved health and finance as part of our everyday "maintenance" needs. We had a lot of ideas but needed to focus on one smaller field to make the project feasible and the concept doable in one weekend, which was difficult at first.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud that we were able to create a concept that solves the problems we identified while also making business-sense. We obviously need to further develop and validate the features and pricing, but we feel like we have a good base to start building on.
What we learned
- Presenting and asking for feedback constantly helped us every time to develop the concept
- The pitch structure helped us simplify and made it clearer for us as well on what the value of our service is
What's next for Nonership
