Inspiration

Studying feels boring, but games keep people motivated. We wanted to take the notes students already have and turn them into something actually fun to use. 80% of students rely on passive rereading—even though it’s the least effective study method

What it does

NoteQuest allows users to upload their notes, convert them into clean text, and utilize AI to transform that text into questions. Students answer questions to level up, earn XP, and face boss battles based on bigger sections of their notes.

How we built it

We used OCR to extract text, organized it into sections, and sent it to an AI model to generate questions. A simple game engine handles XP, levels, and bosses. The interface was built with React and Tailwind.

What's next for NoteQuest

We want adaptive difficulty, streaks, power-ups, better analytics, and possibly multiplayer challenges to make studying even more interactive.
