Gen Z is the largest and most influential consumer group, but is widely misrepresented in financial markets. Essentially, Gen Z influences the market through spending but not through ownership or investment power. As traditional currency continues to inflate, it's important that our generation familirezes themselves with non-liquid, appreciating assets. That's where nvst comes in. Nvst allows consumers to easily invest in the companies they use and interact with every day. When they open an app that they set (Ex, Instagram), it will ask them how much time they want to spend on the app. Based on that time variable, consumers will buy shares in the holding company (Ex, Meta) proportional to their use. This also encourages consumers to put their money where their time is. If there not willing to invest in the platform they are using, then it may not be time well spent.
Identifying the problem was the easy part. When it was time to develop a solution, our group had conflicting ideas. In the end, we decided on a light-weight, friendly system that automatically connects screen time to investing. In the end, we built this to be distributed and used by users with whom we are familiar.
