Inspiration

Every once in a while, I get the urge to learn a new skill. Originally, this was meant to be a learning tool to learn how to do origami, but then I realized that it would be much easier to do that in real life. What about an origami challenge, then?

What it does

The Origami Simulator lets users fold a piece of virtual paper and create new pieces of origami.

How we built it

Thie is built using javascript, and uses three.js to view the paper.

Challenges we ran into

I ran into issues with the actual folding of paper, and splitting it up into several different planes. That is, of course, the main mechanism behind this whole project, so it was a bit of a big challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Well... I like the UI.

What we learned

I've learned some three.js. It was fun :P

What's next for Origami Simulator

No idea! Perhaps an actual working model, but there is no real viability for this besides a complete project just for the enjoyment of origami enthusiasts or puzzle lovers or anyone else. :D
