Inspiration
Now a days educational institutes are killing creativity of students. To enhance their creativity we came up with a site which will help them to create different origami items. Researchers have found a number of ways that origami can make lessons enticing, while giving students skills they need. (Think of it as vegetables blended into spaghetti sauce.) Here are some ways that origami can be used in your classroom to improve a range of skills: Geometry, thinking skills, fractions, problem solving and fun science.
What it does
Our project displays the origin of origami and also presents how a japanese girl tries to spread peace through origami. User can learn 10 different origami items. The steps are shown in images. For one of the origami item 'lion' we have also added a AR model using echoAR. The AR model is added so that young users can play with it.
How we built it
We built it using:- 1)html 2)css 3)EchoAR 4)Figma
Challenges we ran into
The challenge we ran into was improving the codes which we extracted from Figma designs. Codes from Figma were really complicated and t took time to understand and improvise them.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to complete this project on time and we enjoyed a lot.
What we learned
It was the first time some of us tried figma and it was a first time hackathon experience for 2 of our teammates.
What's next for Origami Space
We have added 10 origami crafts as a sample and only one of the crafts 'lion' has an AR model. In future we aim to add more crafts for increasing the creativity of user. Also AR models of all crafts will be added for entertainment purpose.
