Inspiration

What it does

People like people, and in our tech filled world sometimes we drift apart. We aim to reconnect the younger generations through the peepl app. Quickly make an account with just your email, a password, and your date or birth; once you're logged in you can start using the peepl map to find where other users are hanging out. Pin temporary pictures, and events to the map for others to see! Whether you're new in town looking for the local scene or advertising summer block parties reconnect with peepl! But this is all post-pandemic. During these trying times, peepl helps you avoid locations with several users, and stay safe. The best part is that peepl is all anonymous! We protect your identity and provide only an estimate of your location.

How we built it

Peepl was built as an Android application, using Java. We worked with the Mapbox API.

Challenges we ran into

One of our main challenges was testing - we did not have a lot of Android devices to test on, and hence were unable to demo the clustering parts of our application.
