Peer Playlist

This app is built on Sonr network’s SDK using a React frontend. It leverages Spotify’s recommendation engine to deliver a curated music playlist based on artist and genre preferences of geographical peers.

First, popular artist names of all genres are displayed to each user. Peers are asked to choose which artist they like most. Their submissions are stored on-chain in a Sonr bucket. When all users have submitted, data stored on-chain is pushed to the Spotify recommendation engine which returns a playlist curated based on their preferences. The playlist along with links to listen are returned to the user.

Peerplaylist app uses Sonr apis to ping the channel using the motor node and then collect the closer peers' information. It combines the power of Spotify recommendations and Sonr infrastructure to create the decentralized playlist.
