🐶Inspiration

🐾During Covid times, we have experienced late deliveries of products. Due to the need-of-the-hour requirement is not meet, both the owner and the pet get anxious and suffer. Quick help during certain times is difficult to get and rarely available. This is where Pet Hub comes in. A Pet-Friendly app to locate and help other pet owners during their Certain Times because One life saved is a life worth living.

🐶What it does

  • 🐾Pet Hub is a Neighborhood cum Pet-friendly cross-platform application that helps in meeting a pet’s needs, sharing, helping, donating, etc. It is a platform not only for pet owners but also for small pet welfare clubs and the community.Log into the app, and fill up what you can help other pets with. Or, search for your requirement with the location. Once you have found the local user, send an email from the chat section to reach out to them
  • 🐾Pet Hub is also integrated with Deso-The Decentralized Social Blockchain. DeSo is a purpose-built layer-1 blockchain for decentralizing social networks at scale. We used Deso Identity API to send DMs directly from the Application. Sent DMs can be viewed on Diamond App

🐶How we built it

  • 🐾Pet Hub was made with React Framework and Tailwind CSS to make it run functionally in Cross platforms. As a Google cloud service, we used Firebase to connect the front end. We have also used Emailjs for sending emails between the respective users.
  • 🐾DeSO Identity API was used to send direct DMs from the Application. We used: Deso documentation - https://docs.deso.org/for-developers/identity for developing the Model.

🐶Challenges we ran into

This was our first time integrating DeSo into our Application, While working with it, we faced :

  • 🐾Creating a Logout Deso window Listener for exit the Application
  • 🐾Required Subscription for Diamond App for new Users
  • 🐾Retrieving Firebase data to the User-Interface.

🐶Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • 🐾Cross Platform Application running on both Web and Mobile devices
  • 🐾Successful Deso DMs sent snd viewed
  • 🐾Reaching users with Email
