Pirate Website

Inspiration

We were inspired by the Pirates theme and wanted to help others learn about pirates in a fun way.

What it does

Our project is an educational website about the history, folktales, and modern culture of piracy. Our website includes facts and stories about famous pirates, FAQs about pirates, and movie descriptions of famous pirate movies. After perusing through the site you can test your knowledge by taking a quick quiz about piracy. We also included an interactive chat box where people can post questions and information about pirates. We also included a feature where the user must sign in to use the chat box.

How we built it

We learned about pirates and incorporated this knowledge into a website that could help students, teachers, and others learn. We linked each webpage together using a navigation bar.

Challenges we ran into

We had trouble uploading images into our code because of the format. We also ran into some obstacles with the time function of the chat box.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're very proud that we finished this in one night with plenty of time to spare. We are also proud that we were able to make this website interactive with a quiz and a chat box. We are also proud that we made the user of the website have to sign in to make this chat box secure.
