Inspiration

We noticed that plants in our garden were dying and we didn't know why.

What it does

It tells you what plant something is and how to take care of it.

How we built it

We used Flutter for our app, Gemini-2.0 to analyze how to take care of the plant, and Plant.id's API.

Challenges we ran into

It was hard to get the API working and gemini had models that were very popular so it was extremely slow. It took a lot of time and effort to make the app work.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The app works beautifully with a good UI.

What we learned

We learned a lot about flutter and utilizing API keys.

What's next for Plant Scanner

Plant Scanner can have an easier to use UI with more features.
