Inspiration

We wanted to create a fun and engaging platform that combines multiple mini-games into one seamless daily experience. The idea came from the rise of interactive puzzle games and daily challenges like Wordle, but we wanted to take it further by adding variety and personalization.

What it does

Playloop is a daily game hub that offers users different challenges every day—such as word games, puzzles, and interactive pet-based activities. It keeps track of your progress, compares your scores with friends, and encourages daily engagement through rewards.

How we built it

We built Playloop using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS for the front-end. The back-end is powered by Node.js and Express, with Firebase for authentication and real-time data storage. For styling, we used Tailwind CSS to make it responsive and modern.

Challenges we ran into

Managing multiple game states within a single app was complex. We also faced challenges in designing an intuitive UI that supports multiple mini-games without overwhelming the user. Another issue was ensuring real-time leaderboard updates and smooth performance across devices.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully implemented a daily refresh system for new challenges. We also created a clean and responsive design, integrated authentication, and made a functional progress tracker. Most importantly, we turned our idea into a working prototype in a short time.

What we learned

We learned how to manage multiple game states within React efficiently. We also improved our skills in real-time database integration, responsive design, and user experience design.

What's next for Playloop

We plan to add more mini-games, multiplayer features, and social sharing options. We also want to implement achievements, a reward system, and expand to mobile using React Native for a more immersive experience.
