Inspiration

We were inspired by a OneEthos challenge of judgment-free guidance for any financial question someone might have.

What it does.

It provides a way to chat with a specialized AI agent for any financial queries.

How we built it

Structured around simple PNG manipulation and the use of Elevenlabs TTS technology and agent AI, we created a chatbot specialized in financial questions. The main button that controls the entire software uses hooks to recognize when to initialize different state hooks, which dictate what the app and AI will do during those periods.

Challenges we ran into

We struggled with the identity of the project and wondered how we could make financial inquiries friendly and judgment-free, and, of course, a lot of debugging! Moreover, being novices in coding, we found implementing the backend with proper procedures to ensure it processes and displays the correct data, such as messages, accurately, a challenge. We

We're proud of the silly yet functional look of our app and the speed at which it operates!

What we learned

The implementation of utilizing more state management was tricky, as we're relatively novice coders, and this was a step from our last project.

What's next for pngPal

We would want to expand to multiple agents that specialize in topics beyond financial ones. We would also like to find a way to make more presets for the actual face and voice of the app. Generally, we want to provide more variety in our app and maybe allow users to implement their own custom agent preferences.
