Inspiration

The ever-evolving landscape of cyber threats inspired Cyber Guardian. We saw a growing need for accessible and engaging cybersecurity training, especially for everyday users. Traditional methods can feel dry and forgettable, leaving people vulnerable. We wanted to create a solution that empowers individuals to become active participants in their own cybersecurity defense.

What it Does

Cyber Guardian is an interactive cybersecurity training app that leverages gamification and AI to make learning fun and effective. Users choose their learning level and encounter realistic scenarios like phishing attempts, malware infections, and social engineering. They make choices, receive AI-powered feedback on the consequences, and learn best practices along the way.

How We Built It

We built Cyber Guardian using PartyRock, a platform that allows for AI-powered content generation. We crafted prompts to generate:

  • Scenario descriptions tailored to user level
  • Interactive choices with different outcomes
  • AI explanations highlighting best practices

Challenges We Ran Into

  • Balancing realism with user-friendliness: We wanted the scenarios to be realistic but avoid overwhelming users with overly complex technical details.
  • Crafting effective prompts: Striking the right balance between clear instructions and allowing PartyRock's AI to generate creative and engaging content was crucial.
  • Time constraints: Building a comprehensive cybersecurity training app within a limited timeframe required prioritizing core functionalities.
