Inspiration
Even after growing up, many in society lack the knowledge to interpret the ingredient labels for food and health care products, which exposes us to unnecessary risk. Unfortunately, not everyone can afford the cost of consulting a doctor. However, health should be welfare. We aim to make the knowledge and ability required for informed decisions accessible to everyone, especially regions that lack access to information.
What it does
The system meticulously analyzes product ingredients, providing insights into their benefits and potential side effects.
Users can simply snap a picture of a product's ingredient label and send it via SMS to receive detailed safety ratings and potential harm analysis.
The platform provides the product's safety level and possible harm to the body using SMS and voice messages. With coverage for ingredient labels in multiple languages, users receive feedback in English, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility.
How we built it
Frontend: Twilio for SMS Integration Backend: Flask, Ngrok Technologies: Python, GCP, Google Cloud Text-to-speech, Google Cloud Vision
