Polinalysis

Inspiration

We wanted to see how we could utilize the massive amounts of social media available on the web. Thus Polinalysis was born!

How it works

We use Twitter and Facebook API to pull data from these two social media sites. We then use Indico to analyze this data and construct two graphs over time of the overall positivity or "mood" of the individual as well as their political stances.

Getting Indico to work with java.

We built the GUI entirely from scratch in Java!

What's next for Polinalysis

We can easily expand this to take in data from any form of text. For instance, we could generate these graphs for the front page of Reddit.
