Our original idea was to create a hand-motion and voice controlled robot arm but because of our inexperience and some issues with hardware, we just ended up with a moving arm with hard coded gestures and movements :'(. If we had better planned our time management as well as had a set idea of how the project would go, we would have ended up with a better product. The motion controls would have been tracked by Leap Motion and the voice commands would have been taken by an Amazon Echo. Our idea was to have the robotic arm track our hand and wrist movements accurately, and have certain commands such as "Say hi" or "Show me a dance" taken and interpreted by the Amazon Echo.
