Polymath

Have you ever run out of time while doing exams as a kid? Well, in a way, our game might be able to help you improve your critical thinking skills. However, it's goal is not just for you, but for all the children who are learning math every day.

As a kid, we struggled with finding joy in mathematics, we found it dry and unintuitive while learning. When coming to this hackathon, we knew that we could bring something to help tackle the education issue using technology. Video games have been known for decades to be super fun and engaging, so we though why not incorporate it into the concept of learning too.

Essentially, the games doesn't try to teach, instead it try to challenge! There are different challenges, ranging from easy to not-so-difficult. It goes from addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to solving for x, or adding fractions, or compressing expressions. To an adult, this game extremely easy; however, we do hope that children can find this fun to revise their study and maybe to encourage them to study more math on their own too.

We took a lot of inspiration from the Typer Shark Deluxe game that teaches you how to touch type. The main difference is that instead of words, we do math expressions!

Anyways, we had a lot of fun. Thanks a lot.
