Inspiration

When bored, all of us have typed cowsay and fortune into our terminals. cowsay and fortune are the linux command-line tools inspired our hackathon project. Our project outputs a random Harry Potter quote along with a beautiful Haryy Potter themed ASC-II art.

What it does

Displays a random Harry potter quote in the command line along with beautiful ASC-II art.

How we built it

The complete utility is built using python3. For packaging and publishing, we used pip3.

Challenges we ran into

Time constraints. We got to know about the hackathon just a few hours before the deadline.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

• Building a fun usable product from ideation to completion in a few hours.
• Our friends love this product already!

What we learned

• Making command-line utilities on python.
• Teamwork in a remote setup.

What's next for PotterSay

• Add more quotes and characters to make it enjoyable for everyone.
• Build a community around it and have more contributors.
• Make tutorials so others can build command-line utilities similar to pottersay or cowsay.
