Inspiration

Students at our school have trouble gathering the community service Hours needed to graduate, whether it be a lack of motivation or lack of opportunity.

What it does

Our app allows for people to post and see opportunities and get in touch with people for community service offerings.

How I built it

We brain stormed on paper for ways to get offers out to the community, then we decided a listing service where people can post their own offerings, then we started to build it within MIT App Inventor.

Challenges I ran into

We ran into the problem of getting the Tiny Web DB to stoore and retrieve our data, which in turn the information people put in would not show.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We are proud of helping aid our classmates in trying to graduate and get the required community service hours.

What I learned

We learned how to make an app that can go through multiple screens, and we learned how to make an app that could help our communities

What's next for Power Hours

We want to help make our app more user friendly and have sort of an instructions page and a help page that does not only have our goal as an app.
