Inspiration

Our inspiration stems from the fact that the LGBTQ+ community requires a space where they can gain all of the information they need, know that they are not alone, that family does not always have to be blood related, and that they are entitled to all of the respect, appreciation, and equal opportunities and rights. They require a platform where they may openly talk and where real specialists and therapists can assist them in their quest for respect and pride. Learning to be yourself and dealing with other people’s perceptions of you can be hard for anyone. In fact, they can face unique issues when it comes to mental health. The discrimination LGBT students may face or the pressure they feel from their family or community, can put them at greater risk for emotional health struggles like depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and even suicide.

What it does

Overcoming Stigma. LGBTQ+ individuals who are dealing with mental health conditions like depression may have to contend with even more stigma because of discrimination or misunderstandings related to their sexual orientation, having to deal with the additional stigma can worsen mental health conditions. How we built it

Challenges we ran into

Completing the project was a challenge because we had to implement the project by a deadline. As we are new to ReactJS we face problems in getting the content properly with minimum lag. Using SocketIO for developing the anonymous chat room was time-consuming as we are new to this field. We tried to find out verified groups for LGBTQ+communities but we had to deal with a various groups that was not authentic at all.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of that we are creating a platform that identifies the marginalized genders and they communicate to the peoples like them. We are proud of that this platform can be used for communicating with the people like them without any hesitation. We are proud of the fact that we were able to complete the project in the given time.
