Patients who get sick in hospital are normally assessed by nurses using the NEWS (New Emergency Warning Score) system. Once this goes above a certain level, they are required to inform a doctor. However, it is often the case that there are only a few doctors on-call in the hospital at any one time which leads to delays in seeing the sickest patients.
I have created a system based on node JS, mongodb and Twilio to create a prioritisation and texting system to ensure the doctor is aware of all sick patients and is able to see the sickest patients first
