Inspiration
We were thinking about things that frustrated us during the first two weeks of school. One of the things that bothered us was the fact that we had SO much to do but we were still required to plan and think about what to prioritize. This planning process was so long and the entire time all we could think about was how we could have used that time to get our tasks done.
What it does
Priority Sync takes all of your events and data to create a personalized schedule that would maximize the productivity of your day and save you time on planning.
How we built it
We started out designing the front end with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. We used Node.js and OpenAi's API for the backend portion of the website.
Challenges we ran into
Going into the hackathon, we had a completely different idea of what we wanted to do. We had already started out on the original idea when in the middle, we realized the logistics were not ideal. So, we scrapped that idea and started with something new, which became Priority Sync.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Implementing OpenAI's API and working on backend for the first time.
What we learned
Hackathons bond you and also you never know what you can accomplish. Also energy drinks have 21 g of sugar.
What's next for Priority Sync
We definetly want to enhance the UI more. Additionally, we would like to add more features that optimize the performance of the website like deadlines and urgency. Maybe also creating a better algorithm for scheduling.
