😎Inspiration😎

Your health is a top priority. As cliché as it might sound, the saying “health is wealth” is true. Health is the most important aspect of whole well-being. Any problem in health can greatly affect you and those around you. However, in today’s fast paced world, most people do not give priority for their health. Most people eat junk food, do not exercise and get less hours of sleep. Majority of the health issues can be avoided if these issues are taken care of. Additionally, one needs to take care of their mental/emotional health. Signs of mental health issues(i.e. depression, anxiety, etc.) should not be ignored, although this is done most of the time. This inspired us to create PriorityHealth, a web platform where users can take care of their physical and mental health.

😊What it does😊

When the user arrives to this platform, they will be taken to the homepage where they can learn more. They can access all of the services without creating an account, but having an account would be very helpful. Once they create an account, they will be taken to the welcome page where they can view all of the services provided (i.e. connect with doctor, mental health clinic, fitness etc.). If they want to contact a doctor, they can click on the button or tab and easily reach out to the doctors that are available. They can either chat or call the doctor; this is powered by Twilio. Moreover, if the user wants to keep track of their mental health, they can note down their feelings/emotions in the diary provided. Additionally, the user can keep track of their fitness and talk to a fitness instructor, if needed. PriorityHealth takes care of whole well-being and is easily available for the user, with a click of a button.

😥Challenges we ran into😥

There were quite a few challenges we had while building this project.

We had to brainstorm and come up with a feasible idea that was innovative and could be implemented within the given time frame.
Some of our teammates did not have much experience using building a website and they had to learn more about it especially when it came to fixing issues.
Moreover, implementing Deso and Twilio was a bit difficult as this was our first time.
