Inspiration

Boxers today face many obstacles in their fight to be the best out there. Even after facing and defeating all of these, when they retire, they still need a source of income. Moreover, due to the high risk of injuries, retirement at a young age, when they least expect it, is also a valid issue. Pro Guides would serve as a means by which they can use the experience they've gained into providing mentoring services for junior boxers who have just entered the game and for whom this experience would be invaluable.

What it does

Older boxers make profiles on the website and get to sign up as guides. According to their achievements, they are assigned an initial value, which can change according to demand. Junior boxers are allowed to select the pro boxer of their choice according to skills, proximity, and personal preferences. They then pay the required amount for the services being provided by the chosen boxer. All the transactions take place using Ethereum currency through the Ethereum Virtual Machine.

Challenges I ran into

Initially, I was faced with the question of whether I should focus on solutions to upgrade features that already exist or try and bring in new features to the app. Looking out for new features would allow me to broaden my thinking and start completely anew. A clean whiteboard would give me more space and opportunity to think outside the box to bring in new and innovative systems. Thus, in order to not be confined by systems that already exist and ideologies that have already been tested out, I chose a new feature.
