Inspiration

Our inspiration is from the present state of societal problems. Since there are no platforms to report the occurrences and the happenings of local problems, our team decided to tackle this problem.

What it does

In brief, the program will take the inputs (problems) and display them in the google sheets. After that, an admin will verify the points and mark them accordingly in the Google Maps from the location given as well as display them in the news feed. Also, the program works as a website where other users can see the current problems as well.

How we built it

First, we built the base website using the Adobe Dreamweaver ( free - trial ). Then, we add extensions and embedded the google services on it such as the sheets, forms, and maps. Finally, we put datas on to the website newfeeds accordingly.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into many challenges. First, we cannot get the website to work as we expected. Also, we cannot automate our program as we previously anticipated.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Despite the website neither having a domain nor being on the web, we are proud that we can get the website to work offline and put all the other services together in such a limited window of time. We are also proud that the system works properly, often without errors.

What we learned

We learned that making a website is very challenging and requires a lot of knowledge. We also learned to manage our time to finish it in time.

What's next for Problem Tracking Website

We can improve our website further by researching for crucial information such as how to connect different applications together beforehand rather than abstract ideas since we missed out on a lot of practical procedures to get it to work. We can also improve next time by learning how to use programming languages such as CSS and HTML more fluently.
