Inspiration

The challenges that Filipino people face when there is a typhoon ravaging. They use Twitter and other social media platform to ask help.

What it does

Using artificial neural networks and sentiment analysis, we can predict the urgency score of a Tweet and by using an application, we can sort the tweets according to the urgency score and see which ones are the most urgent. The urgency score is close to 1 if it is urgent and it is close to 0 if it is not urgent.

IMPORTANT NOTES: To try the web app follow this:

1. Go to http://two-hack.herokuapp.com/
2. Enter "2HackRescueSample" in the keyword text area in the upper right.
3. Make sure that your Twitter account is public.
4. Go to your Twitter account and Tweet something like "help asap the flood is rising #2HackRescueSample".
5. Don't forget the "#2HackRescueSample" , its the keyword that the web app streams.
6. wait for at least 10 secs for your Tweet to appear in the web app together with the urgency score.
