What it does
This is the landing page for my Pastries in Proportion business. There's a carousel of samples you can scroll through to see if you're interested in what we're selling and two buttons, one that is supposed to take you to our business site and the other that allows you to place an order now.
How I built it
I used HTML and CSS to build the site and Bootstrap to stylize it. All images I took are from Google.
Challenges I ran into
Since this was my first time using Boostrap, I had a lot of trouble implementing some of its features, like the containers and text/button colors. I still don't know how to change the entire site's background color. I used body{ }, but nothing changed. If anyone knows, let me know in the comments!
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I was able to successfully build a landing page with Bootstrap, a framework I just picked up last night! This is also the first time I incorporated a sliding carousel into one of my site pages.
What's next for Proportion Pastries
I'm planning on getting the entire website built before the beginning of summer. I'e always wanted to create a cutesy bakery site.
