Inspiration:

Every monsoon we hear about urban flooding, huge financial losses incur due to flooding and plastic waste is one of the basic reasons for flooding.

Problem Statement

About 30 million tons of solid waste is produced annually in Pakistan, out of which 9% are plastics. How can technology support the authorities with waste segregation and management in a way that we build circular economy?

Challenges:

Lack of support and mentor ship have been a major setback in this venture of ours since we've had to restart from scratch a few times due to inexperience. We've also had troubles in developing a passionate team.

Solution:

Development of a waste management system that would sort out solid waste specially plastic waste from our gutter lines and recycling it with the help of our Engineering knowledge into construction material. The sorting out would take place with the help of a state of the art technological solution and a mobile application to help people report about any anomaly around them.

What's Next ?:

Development and deployment of our prototype.
