Inspiration

Our team recognized the need for a comprehensive platform that serves both Muslims and non-Muslims seeking to learn more about Islam. With this in mind, we envisioned a website dedicated to providing accurate, accessible information, fostering understanding and dialogue across different communities.

What It Does

The website features a well-organized FAQ section addressing common questions about Islam. To enhance user experience, we have integrated an AI chatbot capable of providing detailed answers to inquiries not already covered in the FAQs. Additionally, we have implemented a Sheikh login feature that allows qualified individuals to contribute new questions and answers, along with a robust search functionality to help users find information quickly and efficiently.

How We Built It

We developed our website using HTML and JavaScript, leveraging inspiration from advanced AI technologies, including those found in Botpress. This foundation enables a dynamic user interface and seamless interaction between users and the AI chatbot.

Challenges We Encountered

Initially, we faced significant challenges in integrating an AI-driven answering tool. Our first attempt involved using ChatGPT; however, we encountered difficulties in implementation. Consequently, we pivoted and created our own chatbot using Botpress. This allowed us to specifically tailor the AI’s responses to Islamic content, ensuring relevance and accuracy in its answers.

We take great pride in successfully developing our own AI chatbot, specifically designed to address questions related to Islam. This custom approach not only enhances the relevance of the information provided but also ensures that responses are concise and accurate, making it a valuable resource for users seeking reliable information.

What We Learned

Throughout this project, we gained valuable insights into effective work division and the importance of clear communication within our team. These skills have proven essential in overcoming challenges and achieving our project goals.

What's Next for QAIS

Looking ahead, we aim to further enhance the capabilities of our AI chatbot, with a focus on improving its accuracy and expanding its knowledge base. Additionally, we plan to refine the website’s interface and optimize the Sheikh login feature to improve usability for our contributors.
