Inspiration
Improving our efficiency throughout our academic endeavors by developing a site to track our hours of study, and to engage in a competitive team-based environment.
What it does
Organizes a student's academic schedule across a weekly to basis, and generates optimal study times pertaining to available coursework.
How we built it
Allocated the work-load amongst the team, splitting the backend functionality amongst 2 teammates along with 2 on the frontend; developing the site via the PyCharm IDE, and utilizing the following stack: JS, Python, HTML, CSS, Flask, and SQLite.
Challenges we ran into
Understanding how to handle data-base queries involving user information for the web-site.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We developed a functioning site with an editable calendar and additional widgets for customization.
What we learned
Web-development practices, and data-base technologies such as flask and SQLite.
What's next for Quickademia
Incorporating an experience system to score a student based on their level of commitment in a class; including features such as a "study-streak". Additionally, incorporating A.I to generate optimal study times around a student's schedule will naturally come as an advancement.
