Inspiration
We were inspired by other fast delivery apps that offered users an easy to use experience. We wanted to develop an app that gave users the ability to deliver a wide array of items such as medicine, groceries, and other stationary things.
What it does
Our app allows users (customers) to send and receive deliveries from point to point. The app also allows users to track their deliveries as they are being sent via Google Maps.
How we built it
We developed this app using Flutter, which was our main programming language and was used to develop the app. We used Google Maps API as a way of tracking a live delivery. We also incorporated the MongoDB atlas as our CRUD function.
Challenges we ran into
Some challenged we ran into included multiple errors with incorporating the Google Maps API into flutter. There were many errors such as runtime errors, dart:html errors, and gridle errors.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully incorporated the Google Maps API into our app as it accurately shows the location of a delivery in real time. We are also proud that we incorporated the MongoDB atlas database which stores data that is useful for our app.
What we learned
We learned how to correctly incorporate the Google Maps API into our app using flutter. We also learned how to properly debug a multitude of issues related to the maps API and the MongoDB atlas database as well.
What's next for Untitled
We plan to incorporate a payment system using Apple Pay and Google Pay for transactions based on the number of miles for delivery. We also plan to make our user interface more efficient in the future. We will use msufcu option in future.
