Inspiration

  • Currently, in the global market there are so many lay-offs happening everyday. The situation is getting worse with the time. Laid-offs employees want to get a job swiftly. There are employees who want to take care of their loved ones. International students and immigrants have tight deadline for their visa sponsorship else they would be deported. We thought people who underwent through similar situation can provide support to the community. So in this dreadful scenario, we need a platform to connect, share their thoughts, improve and learn in-order to excel with new opportunities. People want to know, what is the current trend in the sector, what to learn for interview and how to grow together.

What it does

  • Shows trending data A user-friendly dashboard that provides real-time data and insights on layoff trends, statistics, and patterns across various sectors. For ex, In Tech(Saas) industry, what skills, languages, technologies are used currently by working employees.

  • Supports Community Let's navigate the storm together by connecting with employees around the globe. A platform for members to engage in discussions and share thoughts related to your industry. Access to curated news articles and insights on layoff trends and patterns, to help users stay informed about the latest developments in the job market.

  • Provides Real-time Tracking In-depth analysis of layoff trends and patterns, including information on the industries, regions, and companies most affected by layoffs. Recruiters can connect to the laid-off employees and also can explore the open-job opportunities

How we built it

  • We gathered different problem scenarios that currently faced by laid-off employees. Market research of the relevant platforms.
  • For each problem, we tried to create different solutions in our online platform.
  • We created mock design, then started the functional development
  • Segregated into front-end and back-end and tried to implement the planned modules.

Challenges we ran into

  • Data gathering of all the companies, employees and their feed.
  • Connecting and navigating through different modules
  • Building end-to-end platform from the scratch that addresses all the problems of laid-off employees.
