Hungry college students

What it does

RecipeBoy returns a list of recipes based on the ingredients you give him. You can also send him your recommended recipes and get a list of recommendations!

How we built it

Using Cisco Spark's API, Javascript, Node.js, and Food2Food API.

Challenges we ran into

Phew, a lot.

We had to learn how to use Cisco Sparks' API, what Webhooks were and how to communicate with our RecipeBoy. Free API's were hard to find and a lot of our time was spent looking for a suitable one.

What we learned

We learned a lot about Cisco Spark's API and how to use Node.js. Our team's Javascript skills were a bit rusty but this was a great refresher.

What's next for RecipeBoy

RecipeBoy is looking for a buddy and RestaurantBoy just moved in next door!

We'd love to make a Cisco Spark bot for making restaurant recommendations and reservations.
