Inspiration

Many a times, we find ourselves confused not knowing whether to throw the waste in the green bin or the red bin. And there are so many times when we throw many recyclable products into the dump, because we don't know who will recycle them for us!

What it does

2 main features: 1: Tells you whether an item is biodegradable or not, thus helping you decide which bin to throw the item into! 2: Shows you a number of locations categorized based on the items accepted by them for recycling. Users can input a particular item and will find a number of locations where they can give away the item for recycling. IUsers can also comment on each location.

How we built it

We used laravel to build the web app. We used a number of apis including Google maps, Speech recognition. Haven on Demand's Sentiment analysis was used to find out the best locations to give away items, based on the user comments.
