Inspiration
Both my own tendency to forget the last time I've been to the dentist or the next time I need a general checkup, and a few articles I had read on the liklihood of some, especially elderly, to accidentally miss or take an extra dose of medication, inspired Remedical.
What it does
Remedical keeps track of single and recurring medical appointments, medication reminders (and pill counts as backup), doctor contact information, medical history, and emergency contacts, to help individuals keep a comprehensive log of their health, no matter how simple or complicated.
How I built it
Currently a front end built in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery. Intentions to create a backend that stores user information and retrieves it on login.
Challenges I ran into
Time constraints, lack of internet, little knowledge of backend.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Everything currently in the project meets accesibility standards and ADA compliance to ensure all users can use the site with ease.
What I learned
Sometimes when you think of an idea you don't realize HOW MANY PAGES it actually requires.
What's next for Remedical
A backend for user information storage, addition of pages unable to be included for demo, increased interactivity, migration to SPA and mobile app
