Inspiration
The inspiration behind Rendezview came from the frustration of repeatedly creating new When2meet polls for each meeting. We wanted to simplify and enhance the scheduling process, which led to the development of Rendezview.
What it does
Rendezview allows users to create an account and effortlessly form groups with their teammates, streamlining the entire scheduling process for more efficient and stress-free collaboration.
How we built it
Rendezview was built with a focus on user-friendly functionality and efficiency. The platform was developed using React and the Firebase. We used Tailwind to stylize the interface. The development process involved creating each page, connecting the database, and enhancing the design to be user-friendly.
Challenges we ran into
While creating Rendezview, we encountered a few challenges. These included figuring out how to correctly display our calendar component and connecting it with our database, ensuring logging in and signing up was working correctly on the backend.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to successfully address the challenges we faced and deliver a product that simplifies scheduling for users. We achieved a user-friendly interface, streamlined group formation, and efficient scheduling capabilities.
What we learned
Through the development of Rendezview, we learned about developing with React and using Firebase. This experience has contributed to our growth as developers.
What's next for Rendezview
Looking ahead, we hope to improve further on minor details, such as adding times next to the grid on the calendar page and putting something in for the calendar placeholder on the dashboard. We also hope users can give us feedback on how to improve the platform. We want to continuously enhance Rendezview based on user feedback and hopefully become the new go-to scheduling domain.
