Inspiration
We were inspired by how technology, particularly AI-driven mapping, real-time data processing, and emergency response systems, could revolutionize disaster relief.
What it does
-Alert users when there is a nearby natural disaster occurring or about to occur. -Route at-risk individuals to nearby shelters and rescue troops. -Alert rescue troops about individuals who need help.
How we built it
We used react-native to build an Android app. We called APIs from Google and shelter locations.
Challenges we ran into
-Pinpointing what Idea to focus on. -Many times, our code wasn't working as intended.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
-Transforming an Idea into Impact. -In a short time, we developed ResQLink, showcasing AI-driven rescue routing. -We showed that AI and technology can be powerful tools for climate adaptation and disaster relief, making a real difference in people's lives.
- Despite challenges, we collaborated, problem-solved, and followed through with a project that has the potential to save lives globally. ## What we learned -We developed new research and technical skills. -We learned to work as a team and divide tasks across members meaningfully. ## What's next for ResQLink -Hopefully, we will be able to continue the project and monetize it
