Inspiration

Africa faces standardization and interoperability challenges in healthcare with regard to managing healthcare records as patients move from one hospital to another. The traditional healthcare databases also present security challenges as they are vulnerable to breaches. This inspired us to create a solution that offers security, seamless and global access to medical records for patients. We were also concerned about the need to create trust for patients and empower patients to take a more proactive role in their healthcare journey by giving patients more control over their data.

What it does

SafeChain is a dapp that that enables patients to securely and seamless access their medical data globally. It leverages informed consent by only allowing other actors access when the patient gives permission to that actor. Our plugin service allows doctors to accertain completeness and accuracy of medical records allowing more accurate diagnosis
