SalesScript

Inspiration

I was inspired by the document shared in the Discord for ideas. I previously worked as an SDR for a software company, so I understand the pain points of handwriting scripts for different sales personas and trying to tailor things to specific circumstances. Having a tool like this would have been amazing.

What it does

SalesScript is an AI-powered sales script generator for outbound sales professionals. It also has a built-in objection-handling practice tool that takes context from your persona and circumstances and generates objections for reps to practice.

How we built it

I built it using Windsurf, Sonnet 3.7 for the coding and ChatGPT for the spec and ideation.

Challenges we ran into

I ran in to problems because I've never built a tool with AI features in it before. I needed to figure out how to get AI integrated (I used llama3 locally), and how to integrate AI-powered features into an application like this. Windsurf and Sonnet were awesome in holding my hand the whole way and getting my project up and running.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm honestly proud of showing up, and even more proud of getting a functioning prototype working with AI. Again, never built anything with AI features and I'm just glad I got one thing with AI to run, let alone 2 almost very solid features. I'm pretty new to the whole software development game and specifically web apps and AI, and getting something submitted is honestly such a win for me.

What we learned

I learned that AI is crazy strong and can build lots of cool things. I learned that building AI features isn't scary, and that I can do it and rock it. I crushed a pretty fun project and got something up and running (even if its just locally) and feel super proud of myself.

What's next for SalesScript

I think I might try and expand on this. I'd like to figure out how to deploy it with a non-local LLM so that some of my friends still in the sales field can get some use out of it.
