Inspiration
Harnessing the power of timely intervention to save lives, our innovative software draws inspiration from the renowned concept of Caffè sospeso (suspended coffee), which is a pending cup of coffee paid in advance as an anonymous act of charity.
What it does
By collaborating with government and private hospitals, our platform acts as a financial lifeline. It pools funds contributed by compassionate individuals, directing them instantly to provide crucial aid to those facing unforeseen medical emergencies. Notably, recipients of assistance become accountable stewards of the fund, fostering a sense of loyalty to our impactful initiative.
How we built it
We started it by researching the current scenario where medical institutions initiate treatment for an individual only after a deposit of some money. Then we chose the hospitals that abide by the principles of SAVIOR. We built a user-friendly interactive interface for responsible SAVIORS with a golden heart to suspend money for the people in any medical emergency
Challenges we ran into
Credibility: Establishing and maintaining credibility posed a significant hurdle. Gaining the trust of both donors and recipients in the platform's ability to transparently manage funds and make a meaningful impact required strategic communication and ongoing efforts. Building Connectivity Between Ends Using Express: Developing seamless connectivity between different components using Express was a notable obstacle. Building robust APIs and ensuring efficient communication between the user interface and backend systems demanded careful attention to detail and thorough testing. Connection with the Database (Mongo): Establishing a reliable connection with the MongoDB database presented challenges. Overcoming issues related to data consistency, query optimization, and ensuring the security of data during transmission and storage required dedicated efforts and technical expertise.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Credibility: We successfully instilled confidence in our platform's credibility. The hospitals now collect the total amount, and any exclusion of funds requires explicit consent from the original funder, ensuring transparency and accountability in financial transactions. Building Connectivity Between Ends Using Express: We triumphed in establishing seamless connectivity between various components using Express. The hospital now collects the entire fund amount, and exclusions from the fund can only occur with the explicit approval of the funder, adding an extra layer of transparency and control. Connection with the Database (Mongo): We achieved a secure connection and effective storage of data in the MongoDB database. However, there's room for improvement in data retrieval, and we are actively addressing this aspect to enhance the overall efficiency of our system.
What we learned
We enhanced our networking capabilities by engaging with peers and mentors, fostering valuable connections within the industry. This exposure provided us with insights into current technological trends.
Attending workshops on Git and blockchain significantly expanded our knowledge base in these areas. We now have a deeper understanding of version control systems and the potential applications of blockchain technology.
A key takeaway was the substantial improvement in our teamwork skills. Collaborating on this project allowed us to synergize our individual strengths and work cohesively as a team.
The experience has equipped us with valuable skills, and we are eager to channel our newfound knowledge into practical applications. Looking ahead, we are enthusiastic about participating in numerous hackathons to further challenge ourselves and contribute to innovative solutions.

More interactive websites which eliminates human intervention and automates the whole process.
