It all started with a trip to the grocery store. Between rising economic tensions and headlines about trade pressures, we wanted to support Canadian-made products, but figuring out what was actually Canadian proved to quite difficult. At the same time, we kept coming across ingredients with intimidating names like sodium nitrite and disodium guanylate.What do they even do? Are they safe? Why am we eating them? That’s why we built Scanada—to give consumers clarity and confidence when choosing their food. Whether you’re avoiding allergens, picking Canadian-made products, or just wanting to understand what’s in your food, one scan is all you need.
