It all started with a trip to the grocery store. Between rising economic tensions and headlines about trade pressures, we wanted to support Canadian-made products, but figuring out what was actually Canadian proved to quite difficult. At the same time, we kept coming across ingredients with intimidating names like sodium nitrite and disodium guanylate.What do they even do? Are they safe? Why am we eating them?
