Inspiration
Coolers come in different shapes and sizes and Coca Cola has a global market. Therefore I was trying to come up with a solution that would be implementable in places that are low on technology too.
What it does
I just made a simple wireframe for a simple scanning app. Each row of drinks will have a barcode. The person then scans it when there is only a bottle left. To encourage users to actually use the app, a reward system would be in place. Each person earns 'scoke' points that they can either redeem for free drinks if they report it. When scanned the message is sent to the store or the warehouse and more drinks are then sent to the store. This is a simple cost effective way that ensure loyalty to coca-cola too through the reward system. Thus by just installing a simple bar code and using a simple free app Coco-Cola would not be loosing customers (the reward system) and would be able to signal for restocking of the cooler.
In places that have low technology reach a simple button at the end of each row of drink would solve the issue. When the button is pressed the distributor is notified. The person is then entitle to any other drink free of charge from the cooler.
In the long run Coca-Cola would continue making a profit as every customer reporting for restocking would mean efficient coolers. At the same time the system is cheap and quick to install. Furthermore, the customer is not left feeling disappointed due to the immediate reward system.
How I built it
I just used InVision to wireframe the app.
What's next for ScanIt
If chosen ScanIT can be built in a couple months. Then distribution would need to be worked on it terms of the barcode and the button model.
