Inspiration
Did you ever want to showcase your talent, but were afraid of doing so because of the beady eyes 👀 judging you? Don't worry, we've all been there! We wanted to create a safe space for everyone to express their emotions without anyone knowing them through the form of art. We wanted everyone to learn from each other and grow. This is what inspired us to build Secretra - a website to anonymously share and view others' masterpieces.
What it does
Secretra lets you anonymously share and view others' artworks. It aims to solve some of the most dangerous obstacles in our advancement - Negativity and Judgement. It let's you learn from what others do and express your emotions, through Art.
How we built it
We mainly used HTML, CSS and JavaScript to build the website. We made the user interface using HTML and CSS. A simple but extremely powerful combo!
Challenges we ran into
The main challenges we ran into were the time constraint, coordinating with teammates from across the world, and variation in time zones.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Given that we had 3 days to make a project from scratch, we're proud of the fact that despite varying time zones, we were able to coordinate with a group of like minded peers from across the world, and plan & complete our project in time .
What we learned
We learnt a lot about how HTML, CSS and JavaScript work, and were able to explore many new technologies, while widening our knowledge-base. But most importantly, we learnt how to communicate with others irrespective of anything and to manage time efficiently.
What's next for Secretra
After this hackathon, we're hoping to add many more features into Secretra and develop it to solve real-world problems. We plan on completing the website by adding in complete functionality and launching it.
