Inspiration
I was inspired by e-commerce overlays and my own interest (I work at Twitch.) I was present hacking away at the hacker dojo unfortunately I have very bad jet lag and have been sick, so couldn’t be there for parts of Saturday.
What it does
The user can ask about products or brands in a video, movies or shows. For example “what brand of watch is that character wearing?” “Which make and model of car is that?” Etc and a purchase link will appear. Setting also opens a new browser page automatically.
How we built it
I based it on the imagine sample app. Everything seems to be working. I used cursor to help with coding, and since I based it all on the imagine sample app I used openAI API, i send a prompt (based on voice to text you already had In the sample app) to ChatGPT that asks about the product, I do a tool search and find what product it is, then I search for a purchase link (usually returns an amazon link.) I used runway and aitubo and luma labs for video content.
Challenges we ran into
Challenges were getting around cursor which appeared to not like the imagine sample app one bit!!!!

I got the videos running and purchase links working
What we learned
I learned that I need more time and more sleep to compete in these things effectively

Oh I’d love to continue I work at twitch so I’m super into streaming and video and the future of it all
