The idea came from using apps such as pushbullet, and wanting to send links to friends via text message. To my surprise there are no apps out there that allow you to simply push links to your phone without the need for a separate app. Share This! allows for you to simply enter your phone number or email and have a link and a description sent to you in seconds, ready for you to pass along to friends or family!
