Inspiration

At an idea meetup, one of our teammates shared her experience of being the only woman in her tech team. While she loved her work and colleagues, she wished for the camaraderie of having another woman in the team. This led us to discuss why fewer women are in Professional tech roles, we identified a key issue: while many online courses teach tech skills to women, finding a professional organization where, these women can gain practical / hands-on experience is quite challenging .

To address this, we came up with She'Aspires, a platform aiming to providing aspiring women in tech with opportunities for hands-on learning and career growth, and to foster a supportive community for women in the tech industry.

SDG : 5 -Gender equality

Our solution contributes to and supports SDG 5, gender equality, by facilitating opportunities for women who aspire to enter the technology industry to gain experience and advance their professional careers. Additionally, we strive to achieve gender balance in tech roles.

What it does

It empowers women by offering practical experience through volunteering in tech roles and connecting them with supportive organizations.

Key features include:

  1. User Profiles: Women highlight their tech skills and career aspirations; NGOs and tech companies post volunteer opportunities relating to Tech.

  2. Matching System: Connects candidates with suitable opportunities.

  3. Badge System: Recognizes achievements in skills and volunteering.

  4. CV Creation Resources: We offer users with guidance , on creating professional resumes.

She’Aspires bridges the gap between potential and opportunities for aspiring women in Tech.
