Inspiration

Women often juggle multiple responsibilities, leading to stress, financial concerns, and difficulty maintaining overall well-being. We wanted to create a solution that helps women track their mental health, financial goals, and personal growth seamlessly through journaling and insights.

What it does

Our app serves as a personal wellness and finance tracker, empowering users to log daily journal entries focused on health, finance, and personal growth. It enables them to track anxiety levels, energy fluctuations, savings, and investments while receiving personalized insights and recommendations based on their entries. Additionally, users can set and monitor monthly goals, helping them achieve a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle.

How we built it

We began with research on the impact of mental wellness across different aspects of life, focusing on supporting women in career growth, well-being, and financial stability—key areas of interest for this demographic. We designed low-fidelity wireframes in Figma, refining them into high-fidelity layouts. Using Figma's prototyping tools, we built an interactive and intuitive experience for users. For analyzing user-inputted data, we integrated the Gemini API to generate meaningful insights.

Challenges we ran into

Managing time constraints while finalizing the project scope was a challenge, limiting our ability to conduct multiple user testing and iterations. Additionally, learning and integrating Figma for UI design and Gemini API for AI-driven insights required extra effort within our timeline. Designing a user-friendly interface that feels personal and intuitive. Developing meaningful AI-based insights from journal entries.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

In a short time, we developed a functional prototype with an intuitive UI, seamlessly integrating mental wellness and finance tracking. We successfully built a sentiment-based journaling system that provides personalized insights and a goal-setting feature that empowers women to take charge of their well-being.

What we learned

We learnt that habit-building is crucial for effective wellness and finance tracking, as consistency drives meaningful progress. Providing personalized insights empowers users by giving them greater control over their journey. Additionally, we gained hands-on experience with tools like Figma for UI design and Gemini API for data analysis.

What's next for She Thrive

Following WiCHacks, our goal is to move the website beyond the prototype stage by using React or Angular for the front-end, a relational database, and Java or Python for the back-end, all powered by our own model. This will require us to learn these frameworks to improve user interactions. We also plan to strengthen our privacy-first approach when handling sensitive user data. In future iterations, we aim to integrate more financial tools, such as savings challenges and investment recommendations, along with enhanced wellness features.
