Inspiration

As a group of people who enjoy cooking, we all encountered the same issue: food going bad before its expiration date. This inspired us to create shelfsmart.

What it does

shelfsmart helps users track the expiration dates of their food.

How we built it

We built the website using React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript

Challenges we ran into

We faced time constraints and were unfamiliar with React. We spent a lot of time learning React to build our project.

We’re proud of learning new things and how far we got despite out time constraints.

We plan to add a feature that generates recipes using food items that are close to their expiration dates.
