Inspiration
This project was heavily inspired by the idea of counting sheep to fall asleep. Last night, I was up at 4 am and realised I only had enough time to sleep for 1 hour before I had to get up and leave for the hackathon. I was extremely sleep deprived, and due to the lack of sleep, I was unable to dream. As such, we decided to create a solution to my sleep deprivation problem.
What it does
The game involves throwing sheep over the fence and earning coins each time the sheep crosses the fence.
How we built it
We built the application using Unity, Blender, and Canva.
Challenges we ran into
None of us had ever used Unity and Blender until today, so there was an incredibly steep learning curve. We faced many issues and overestimated our ability to implement all the functionalities we planned.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We created lasting memories and our first ever functional unity application.
What we learned
We learned blender basics and the fundamentals of creating a Unity app. Furthermore, we learned to be more rational with our time expectations in the future.
What's next for Shleepy
We have many future plans for Shleepy. In the future, we could include a widget on the home screen to view your personal sheeps. Moreover, we could have included an interactive experience with other people in the community, allowing you to trade sheeps and compare weekly earnings. Additionally, we plan to add a shop to give the coins a functionality
